  • KWD Market Report “Fittings and Pipe Connections Europe 2021”

Once again, the updated KWD-Fitting Report aims to provide an overview of the developments, trends and consumed pieces of fittings. As always it explains the basic designs of fittings and gives a detailed listing of offered fittings in Europe. more information | orderform | KWD-Shop In the past four years, a large number of new or even improved connector designs have been introduced in Europe, but without abandoning the established and proven types. Even if special designs are gaining ground, it remains to be said that the almost old-fashioned radial press fitting can be regarded as the industry standard worldwide. Metal or plastic has become less of a question of dogma when it comes to the choice of material; much more, intelligent solutions for the respective areas of application are being sought, often as composite designs in metal and plastic. In light of the stream of innovations it is increasingly difficult even for experts to keep track of things. Which fitting made of which material is best suited for which type of pipe and application? What is the difference between the joining techniques available and which are the most important suppliers? A special focus of the new report is on the developments to both: product development and quantitative use of the most important fitting types in the most important European markets, as well as the possible development of the connector materials and material combinations. Content of the KWD Fitting Report Europe 2021: Terms and Definition The Development of Fittings – a brief look back Basic Designs of Pipe Connections Analyis of used Fittings by Connection Type Consumption of Fittings by Pipe Material News on Fittings and Pipe Connections Detailed Listing of Fittings in Europe The KWD Report costs 970,- Euro (plus tax in Germany) for our subscribers of KWD-SHK and KWD-globalpipe and 1200,- Euros for all others (prepayment for orders from foreign countries). The study will be delivered as digital version; on 290 pages all fitting types for pipes in building services are described, the sales volumes in Europe are estimated and a survey gives an indication of which fitting types are used in percent. In addition to the pdf file with the digital KWD Market Report two Excel files are also supplied: Consumption of Fittings in Europe and a Detailed Listings of Fittings in Europe by manufacturer. Editors of the report are Jutta Hix and Achim Seydel. more information | orderform | KWD-Shop

  • Multilayer Composite Pipes World 2019 – KWD Market Report

This KWD Market Report describes the Market of Multilayer Composite Pipes for Heating & Plumbing Installations Worldwide: Basic product information, production quantities, growth prospects … KWD-globalpipe, 24.07.2019. The two authors of the study have been collecting production and consumption quantities of pipes in building services for many years. Jutta Hix is the chief editor of KWD-globalpipe since 2008 und Achim Seydel from Seydel Consulting has more than 40 years of experience in production, development and sales of plastic pipes and pipe systems for pipe installations in housing technology. The new KWD Market Report focuses on multilayer composite pipes, what materials they are made of, how they are manufactured, what types of connections there are and, finally, which manufacturer produces how many millions of meters worldwide. The findings of the KWD Report “Multilayer Composite Pipes” are very clear The production of multilayer composite pipes in Europe has increased significantly since 2013 Total production outside Europe has fallen significantly since 2013 Worldwide, however, there is still a respectable plus Growth prospects for multilayer composite pipes The consumption of multilayer composite pipes continues to grow, but mostly o nly in line with the general growth rates of the pipe market for domestic installations. The strong volume gains resulting from the displacement of copper pipes, especially in the area of radiator connections but also in sanitary installations, have been a thing of the past for several years. The reason for this is the calming of the copper price, but should the price of copper again rise sharply, the multilayer composite pipe will certainly gain further market shares. Projection including China Since it was not possible for us to get reliable information about the production quantity in China, we decided to only include the manufacturer data here. In order to get a feeling for the worldwide production volume of multilayer composite pipes, we used the same growth rate for China as for Europe in a projection. Content of the KWD Market Report Introduction Design of Multilayer Composite Pipes Situation and Trends Multilayer Composite Pipes in Use Multilayer Composite Pipe Production Volume Worldwide Methods of Manufacturing Manufacturer of Production Plants Joining techniques for Multilayer Composite Pipes Companies and Products: Reports from our KWD-globalpipe History of the Development of Multilayer Composite Pipes Listing of Producers and Distributors The current KWD Market Report “Multilayer Composite Pipes for Heating & Plumbing Installations Worldwide 2019” has been published in English language, it has 244 pages and is available as digital version as well as a print version. • PEX, PE-RT and PB Pipes World 2017 – KWD Market Report

In the present report we explain basics of PEX, PE-RT and PB pipes and we look at the production volume of the flexibel heating & plumbing pipes. Market information on this product group complete the offer The latest KWD Market Report on flexible heating & plumbing pipes was published in 2014. Since then we have seen different trends and developments, regarding both the manufacturers in this industry, and their various pipes and fittings. All pipe materials have increased in the last years again, just as PE-X, PE-RT and PB pipes worldwide, which are the objects of this market analysis exclusively. Aluminium multilayer pipes are not subjects of this report. Some trends and insights of the current report: PE-X and PE-RT pipes are worldwide mainly used in heating applications particularly for underfloor heating systems, in some countries for plumbing too. Both materials have shown an enormous upward trend in recent years. In addition to the rising production output there is above all the worrying trend to “high quality for small prices”. PB pipes could consolidate its niche position in heating and plumbing applications in some markets. 5-sheet pipe constructions for heating applications are generally accepted now, the former 3-layer version has disappeared nearly complete. We are again presenting a current overview about the main producers. We show the estimated production output in 2016 and the development from 2010 to 2016. In the region Asia / Pacific we did not get trustworthy information. So again we decided just to list the producers and their respective production program. Our survey is meant to highlight the respective trends and to up-date you on the quantity of produced pipe volumes by the main manufacturers worldwide of flexible heating and plumbing pipes which are made of PE-X, PE-RT and PB. The survey also shows the current situation and gives a trend analysis of the future development of the different pipe materials. In addition to the list of production volumes, the survey also provides a comprehensive insight into the market of flexible tubes. In the chapter “Information on Companies and Markets” you will find market information on the appropriate companies and markets. These articles have been published in our newsletter KWD-globalpipe during the last three years. The information covers the following fields: Company news from Europe, America, Russia, and China, news on extrusion lines and on raw material and the summary of the articles on the legal dispute between Uponor and HeatLink/Canada. Producer profiles and certification lists round off the information offer to manufacturers of flexible pipes.
