Nueva Terrain’s: Push fit connections at Mostra d=40 and d=50 mm for PB pipes
KWD-globalpipe, 2008-03-04, No.272. The existing PB ( -Polybutylene ) push fitting system of Nueva Terrain will be expanded to include the nominal diameters d40 and d50 mm and shown for the first time at Mostra Convegno Milan in March 2008.
The system has 2 grab-rings, the nut consists of non-corrosive aluminium alloy.
This push fit system is only suited for plastic pipes, because it seals on the outside. Multilayer pipe systems with an aluminium core usually have to be designed with an inside seal which reduces the flow. With bigger diameters that doesn’ t matter that much, but with small diameters it causes pressure losses.
