New products in VETEC product range 2009

Punctual to the ISH fair in Frankfurt in March 2009 VETEC is presenting the 2nd generation of battery powerd hydraulic pressing tools up to dimension DN75. With the added features of the software the transparency of the pressing tool will be higher than in the first version.
With the new generation it will be now possible for the user to store important data for customer projects in combination with every single pressing cycle which already stores date and time automatically. Due to this possiblity possible mail functions can be causes can be excluded or determined. There is also the possibilty for the system supplier to store important data such as technical advices of the fitting system or sales subsidiaries. (weiterlesen…)

PEX Tubing Added to California Plumbing Code

Today, the California Building Standards Commission (CBSC) certified the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) on crosslinked polyethylene, or PEX, tubing, and unanimously adopted regulations approving PEX water distribution systems into the California Plumbing Code. The new regulations take effect Aug. 1, 2009. Until then, local jurisdictions can adopt a code to use PEX in new and remodel construction before statewide adoption. (weiterlesen…)

Middle East Plastic Pipes 2009

Borealis promotes discussion on sustainable water solutions for Central and Eastern Europe

KWD-globalpipe, 2009-01-28. (Water) Croatia’s water industry gathered in the country’s capital Zagreb on December 2, 2008 to discuss potential solutions to the provision of long-term efficient

water networks within the Central and East European region. The one-day conference, attended by more than 100 participants from utility and pipe installation companies, was organised by Borealis, a leading provider of innovative value creating plastics solutions, together with Heplast-pipe d.o.o. and Drnišplast d.d., leading Croatian producers of polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) pipes for public utility systems. The event examined the need for a sustainable infrastructure supply in light of increasing urbanisation and industrial development in the region, focusing on the benefits advanced pipe materials can offer. Experts from Croatia and abroad with vast experience and knowledge in the field of thermoplastic pipes in water supply and wastewater drainage systems included keynote speaker Dr. Širac, Deputy General Manager of Croatian Waters, who presented an overview of Croatia’s water management strategy. Prof. Marangoni, Professor in utilities economics and manage-ment at Bocconi University in Milan, highlighted the importance of acting now to prevent further deterio-ration of Europe’s system and the damaging implications for countries’ industrial, commercial and environmental positions, as demonstrated by a market study…
