On August 29, 2008, Daikin Europe N.V., a 100% subsidiary of Daikin Industries Ltd. headquartered in Osaka, Japan, announced an agreement with the principal shareholders to acquire 100% of Rotex Group Companies with headquarters in Güglingen, Germany. Rotex is engaged in the production and distribution of heating products and complete heating systems. This acquisition -subject to the approval of the antitrust clearance authorities in Germany – strengthens Daikin’s offerings and market presence in its heating segment. This autumn Pipe Coil are preparing for the launch of the augmented fully automatic twin-head coilers for small bore pipes. These new systems will be the first 200m/minute coilers with integrated dual packaging systems, meaning each system will have the capabilities to carry out automatic film and or strap packaging. The new systems will also have quick-change coiling heads – enabling different size heads to be fitted for different pipe materials, pipe sizes and coil pack sizes.

JRG is a leading provider of domestic and heating-water supply systems in Europe. It has an excellent market position and smoothly organised distribution channels primarily in Switzerland, southern Germany and Austria. The acquisition of JRG is an important strategic step for GF Piping Systems and substan-tially strengthens its position in the building technology market.
